In the early '80s, Paula was in a band called "surrender dorothy" - they were reuniting for a one-time-only performance as part of the Chicago Historical Society's tribute to local lesbian music from the '70s thru today on September 26, 2004.

Paula is now a writer, editor, and a counselor in private practice in Chicago, and occasionally, she go back out and sing - often her own material.
