Author
John began his studies of the living world rather traditionally, majoring in biological sciences and earning an M.S. degree in Biology/Ecology that led to a teaching position in a small university near Atlanta.
After several years of teaching - and a couple more spent traveling through Mexico, Central America, and Europe - he embarked on a study of natural healing. In 1981, John received certification from the Atlanta School of Massage as a Licensed Massage Therapist - having taught there concurrently.
Since then, John has maintained a full-time practice in massage and body-centered therapy, integrating into his practice a variety of techniques including neuromuscular and deep-tissue therapies, relaxation massage, and craniosacral balancing.
John is the author of Gay Spirit Warrior: An Empowerment Workbook for Men Who Love Men and Earth Spirit Warrior: a Nature-based guide to authentic living. John's Web site describes his books, classes, Southeastern flower essences, and work with massage and body centered counseling.
