Openly gay journalist Michael Serapio grew up in Toronto but moved to Ottawa to pursue journalism at Carleton University. Michael's time at Carleton helped him nurture and further develop his talent for his craft.

Michael is the executive producer and co-host of Shout!, a GLBTQ current affairs program on the PrideVision TV network (the show was cancelled in 2002 due to budget cutbacks at PrideVision). He was an executive producer of the morning news program Canada AM on CTV, and supervising producer of the political affairs series, Sunday Edition.

Twice nominated for a Gemini, his eclectic range of production credits includes Pierre Trudeau: The Journey Home, two election specials, numerous budget specials and CTV's millennium coverage.
