Mathilde appeared in 1997 in the Dutch musical Joe and sang at the opening and closing ceremonies of the 1998 Gay Games in Amsterdam, where she sang "I believe I can fly" (R. Kelly) accompanied by the gay Norwegian choir "Gli Scapoli". Two of her mayor hits were first heard of as soundtracks to commercials and were both covers (Beautiful People by Melanie and Wonderful Life by Black).
