Born in Avesta, Ola's real surname is Svensson. Since his childhood, Ola had a very intense approach to music. He has 4 brothers Jacob, Johannes, Martin and Anna, and his parents were somehow connected to music. Ola started imitating his idols, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie and others, in front of the mirror of his small bedroom, or else... to the cows! Ola Salo, the lead singer of the Swedish rock band The Ark, has made his bisexuality no secret and he's written several songs about gay rights as well.
