Transvestite and gay activist who campaigned for an investigation into police murders of gay men, and who was reportedly killed by an individual working for the Policía Judicial del Estado in 1993.
The person accused of the murder had been prosecuted. The judge of first instance at the Fourth Criminal Court, had acquitted the accused of the killing of Neftalí Ruiz Ramírez.
The public prosecutor had appealed against the acquittal to the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court of Justice of the State of Chiapas, which rendered a final judgement confirming the decision of the Fourth Criminal Court (12 December 1996).
