Born at Piscataway, New Jersey, his best-known work is Jeffrey.
Rudnick writes a monthly satirical film review column for Premiere magazine under the name "Libby Gelman-Waxner."
His non-film writing includes the novels Social Disease and I'll Take It, and the plays Poor Little Lambs, I Hate Hamlet and The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told.
