Wilhelm von Rosen

Scholar and activist
He was born and educated in Copenhagen, and took degrees from both Odense University and the University of Copenhagen. His thesis, for which he was awarded a PhD from the latter university in 1994, was on Danish gay history from 1628 to 1912.
He currently holds a position as Senior Researcher at the Danish National Archives, where he has worked as an archivist since 1970. Rosen has been active in both gay politics and gay research. He was volved in the Copenhagen Gay Liberation Front from 1973 to 1977.
