Louise is the author of books for both children and adults, recently Other People's Dirt: A Housecleaner's Curious Adventures (1998). It has been translated into French, Italian, German, and Chinese. Her commentary can be heard on NPR's All Things Considered. She Teaches Creative Nonfiction in the MFA Program at Antioch College, Los Angeles.
