Pritt was born in Greenbrier County, West Virginia, and is a 1993 graduate of Hermitage High School. While attending college at University of Arkansas at Monticello, Pritt also started his own political consulting firm.
Pritt is an an active member of Episcopal Diocese of Arkansas. He is a member of the National Cathedral Association, Delta Caucus Initiative, the NRA, the Knights of Pythia, the Interfaith Alliance, and the Human Rights Campaign. He has been recently named the Entertainment Coordinator for Pride 2006 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Drew Pritt is a candidate for public office from the state of Arkansas. Pritt is the son of a Presbyterian minister and is a strong supporter of organized labor, as well as the cousin of former State Senator Charlotte Pritt and Roger Pritt of West Virginia. He has worked as a political consultant and served as Democratic County committeeman for Bradley County, Arkansas, from 1992 to 1998.
On August 1, 2005, Pritt declared his candidacy for Lieutenant Governor of Arkansas on the Pat Lynch Radio Show, found on WAI Radio. In doing so, Pritt became the first openly homosexual person to seek office in Arkansas.
