Born in Edinburg, former manager of the teeny-bopper-band "The Bay City Rollers".

In 1982 he was sentenced to three years jail for a series of sexual liaisons with teenage boys. Tam Paton was again arrested in 2003, at his home in Edinburgh, with allegations of sexual abuse against boys under the age of 16, that occurred during the 1970s. But he was later released without charge.
