Bassplayer of rockgroup Placebo, born Stefan Alexander Bo Olsdal in Goteborg, attended the American School in Luxembourg.

Stefan started playing music when he was a teenager. He started out playing the drums but wanted to get seen more. So he took up playing guitar and/or bass.

Stefan, had followed his parents to England, and was studying guitar at the Musicians Institute in the East End. It was thus by sheer accident that he ran into Stefan at South kesington tube station. He later studied drama in London where he ran into Brian. The rest is more or less Placebo history.

Placebo is composed by Brian Molko (bisexual - American - vocals, guitar), Stefan Olsdal (gay - Swedish - bass, guitar and keyboards) and Steve Hewitt (straight - English - drums). A well assorted band...
