Mike Law lives in Winnipeg; co-chair of the Canadian Bar Association's Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Committee; board member for Happenings club and the AIDS Shelter Foundation, and organizer for the Goldenboys Volleyball league:

"I don't run the volleyball league for activist reasons; it's something fun to do. I see it as a progression of gay pride...when I started my years of activism, you had to fight against the system and work to gain equality. We're not there yet, but there have been so many gains, I see community participation now more as trying to be a role model."
