"Funny Gay Males"
(active 1988 - present) U.S.A.
Stand up comedians
Funny Gay Males - a trio of Stand Up Comedians was founded by comedians Jaffe Cohen, Bob Smith and Danny McWilliams in New York City during the comedy boom of the late eighties/early nineties. The group performed all over the country as well as in Australia and Canada, wrote a book called "Growing Up Gay" for Disney's Hyperion Books and has appeared on national television.
About seven years ago the members amicably parted company to pursue other projects and between them have produced several books, screenplays, one person shows and have continued to appear nationally as stand up comedians.
Three years ago Cohen and McWilliams teamed up with Eddie Sarfaty for a
summer run in Provincetown as Funny Gay Males. They returned last summer and are now embarking on their third consecutive season. In addition they have also appeared at other venues around the country.
Jaffe, Danny and Eddie are the perfect entertainers for all kinds of events. Working as a group as well as individually they have been featured at Theaters, Colleges, Comedy Clubs and GLBT events across the USA as well as in Canada, Australia and the Caribbean.
