Kent Fuher

Female impersonator

separator

Kent lives in Hollywood, California. Some of his characters include: Sister Strawberry Margarita, Patty Kitty Carter, Miss Beverly Wilshire and Jackie Beat (his foremost and most well know character), just to name a few. Kent was a regular performer at the Second City Comedy Club in Santa Monica in the early 1990s and went on to join with the Improv troupe "High Voltage" for several engagements.

Jackie Beat, or Poetess as she's also known ("That's female for poet." JB) is most famous for her hostessing of Kent's one man/woman stage show. Her all black attire and chic black bob make her the quintessential image of "cool". Her poetry is cutting edge and never misses plucking the nerve it's intended to pluck.

The small stage was not big enough to hold the vast talents of Kent "Jackie Beat" Fuher so off he went to write, direct, produce and star in his own one-man/woman-show Entertain Me. The show was such a success that it opened many doors to other stage shows and, eventually, movies.

Kent's hysterically funny female characters, side-splitting monologues, riotous song parodies (Madonna's Vague was a show-stopper) and dry humored hostess Jackie Beat made for a sell out show time and time again! Kent soon branched out to films where he has starred in two movies but played three roles! In Grief (1993) Kent plays Harvey (as himself) and Jo (as Jackie Beat).

Kent's idol, Divine, has a definite infulence in his style and deliverance and yet Kent is an original yet equally talented actor.
