Freda is a High School school teacher and gay activist. Founding member of CHA (Comunidad Homosexual Argentina).

He and his lover, Eduardo Vazquez, were recognized as spouses by the teachers' union social security system in May, 1997. Shortly thereafter, the Argentine government extended pension rights to the lovers of deceased gays and lesbians and the flight-attendants union began offering benefits to gay/lesbian employees' domestic partners.

They also obtained the revision of the Army Justice Code, allowing thus the gay people to serve in the Army.
