Dorothy Bryant

Writer of lesbian fiction
Born in San Francisco, Bryant is the second daughter of immigrants from northern Italy. Having studied and taught music until 1960, she then devoted herself to writing and publishing. Together with her husband she lives in Berkeley, California, where they run the independent publishing house Ata Books, which has published many of Bryant's works.
