Born in Aries, Panama as Luis Miguel Luchino González Borlani, he was the son of the famous Italian actress Lucia Bosé and the legendary bullfighter Luis Miguel González Lucas. He is also cousin of the late Carmen Ordóñez. His godfathers were Luchino Visconti, Pablo Picasso, and Salvador Dalí.
He made his film debut at the age of 15, and at age 21, he began his singing career which eventually led to international pop stardom.
He defines himself as a "trisexual or pansexual".
