Name given to a group of writers and artists, gay, lesbians and bisexuals, based in Bloomsbury, London, between the world wars. Bloomsbury area is in Camden, between Grower Street and High Holborn. It contains London University headquarters, the British Museum and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.
The group included artists such as Duncan grant, and Vanessa Bell, and writers such as Lytton Strachey, Leonard and Virginia Woolf.
