Jean-Marie Besset

Playwright, director, actor
Jean-Marie was born in Carcassone in France. He attended Primary and Secondary school in Limoux. In 1981 he obtained a degree in Economic Science at ESSEC and a degree in politics at IEP, Paris in 1984.
He is a highly acclaimed playwright in France and has been nominated for Moliere Award several times. Translations of his plays have been performed in London and in New York.
He has translated many British and American plays into French including ones by Tennessee Williams, Noel Coward, Alan Bennett and Tom Stoppard.
